April Deming, Gallery Director
April Deming has been a supporter of the arts all her life.
She is the co-founder of The House Art Studio and Gallery in
Phoenix, AZ, which opened its doors in 1994 as a place for artists
to develop their skills and show their work to the public. A
creative venue that produced some of Phoenix’ best painters
and also home to poets, photographers and musicians, it was
a breeding ground for many artists who went on to establish
for themselves successful art careers exhibiting and selling
their work in well-known galleries and institutions across the
country. April began working as a fine artist in 1999 as a realist
oil painter, creating intricate and colorful images of flowers.
In keeping with her commitment to the arts and community service,
April was a participating artist with the Keep A Breast Foundation,
a unique non-profit organization that creates plaster forms
of the female torso, customized by fine artists, and auctioned
to raise funding for breast cancer education and awareness among
young people.
